The next update for New World will be the Heart of Madness which will add a conclusion to its storyline, bug fixes as well as a new weapon.

New World to Gain Storyline Conclusion in ‘Heart of Madness’ Update

The update for New World called ‘Heart of Madness’ sets to bring a conclusion to the storyline involving Isabella, continuing where the main story questline left off. As Isabella makes her way back to the Shattered Mountain, you follow her for an “epic final showdown”. According to Amazon’s post on the New World website, you will enter the Tempest’s Heart, entering a corrupted dimension of reality through the twisted capital city of Myrkgard. Unravel the secrets of Isabella’s past, as you journey deeper into her corrupted mind.

The Tempest’s Heart is designed as an endgame Expedition for 5 players, recommended for players who have already reached level 60 with a gearscore of 550 or above.

New Weapon

A new weapon will be available in the update called the Blunderbuss, a ranged option that scales with both strength and intelligence.

Two weapon mastery trees offer a couple of different playstyles:

A new Legendary Weapon Quest series will also be available upon reaching level 60. The new firearm will allows players to seek out Wang Tang Zhi in the Ebonscale Reach settlement to start their adventure.

New Wild Encounters, Balance Updates & Bug Fixes

The story conclusion isn’t the only addition with the update, players can also expect new encounters in the wild. The game is also getting balance changes for a range of Weapons plus bug fixes. The update will go live on the PTR first, so players can check out the Heart of Madness even before it goes live on main servers. Players will be able to create PTR loadouts to test out the new content, but you won’t be able to use your live character on this server.
