New World: Aeternum has announced that from today until September 16 at 9 AM PT, players can join the open beta on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series. Cross-play between consoles as well as between consoles and PC will be available during the open beta.

New World: Aeternum Open Beta

This open beta test allows players to try New World: Aeternum before the full game’s release on October 15, as participants will have access to the initial experience and missions up to level 30.

During this test in Aeternum, players will unlock mounts, arenas, and some expeditions. Players will be able to play as new archetypes, choosing between seven pre-set archetypes (soldier, destroyer, ranger, musketeer, occultist, mystic, or swordbearer).

There are also mounts and 3v3 arenas unlocked at level 20, various expeditions with bosses, and influence races: find a faction and ally with them to seize territory, fighting against others to determine who gets to challenge the current owners for the territory.

• Aeternian Trailblazer – Title: Participate in open beta
• Vambrace of the Aeternian Adventurer – Gloves: Reach level 10
• Jackboots of the Aeternian Adventurer – Footwear: Reach level 15
• Britches of the Aeternian Adventurer – Legwear: Reach level 20
• Tricorn of the Aeternian Adventurer Headwear and Greatcoat of the Aeternian Adventurer Chestwear: Reach level 25

Participants in the open beta will be able to earn rewards as they progress through the experience. Although progression won’t carry over, all rewards unlocked during the Open Beta will be provided at launch.
