inXile Entertainment has shared a new video for Torment: Tides of Numenera, their upcoming sci-fi/fantasy CRPG on PC. This video explores one of the game’s classes, the Glaive. Check it out below:

In the video we get a look at the Glaive class, which are the elite warriors of the Ninth World. Glaives make use of weapons, armor and martial arts while in combat. Their martial versatility allows them to focus on different specializations. They can invest in the Might stat to make use of heavy gear or can lean towards the direction of Speed, making use of light gear and ranged options. Players looking for a balance can invest equally in both.

In combat, Glaives take the offensive role along with tanking properties. They can execute the strongest attacks as well as resist the highest damage. Augmenting this is their unique ability as the only class that can attack twice in a turn. They can use their abilities to pin down and immobilize enemies, as well as taunt foes, drawing attention on to themselves and freeing up their party members to focus their attacks.

inXile has already released a video on the Nano class and will be releasing 1 more video that explores the other class, the Jack which we’ll share when released. Torment: Tides of Numenera is presently in early access on PC and is set for a full release on PS4, Xbox One and PC sometime early 2017.
