Bethesda has released a new beta update for Skyrim: SE on PC today, which addresses some crashing issues that players have been encountering. The update can be accessed via Steam Beta updates and will be rolling out in full for PS4, Xbox One and PC soon. Any feedback on the update can be provided on Bethesda’s official forum.

- General stability and performance improvements
- Fixed issue related to using alt-tab while playing the game (PC)
- Fixed issue with water flow not rendering properly
- Fixed crash related to changing from werewolf back to human form
- Fixed crash related to reloading after changing Load Order of mods
- General bug fixing and improvements with browsing Mods
How to access the Steam Beta
- Log into Steam.
- Right Click on Skyrim Special Edition in your Library.
- Select Properties.
- Select Betas.
- A drop down menu will appear. Select Beta.
- Select OK.
- Wait a few minutes for game to update.
- When done, Skyrim Special Edition [Beta] should appear in our Library.

Hasn’t worked for me.
I mean, it stops the CTDs I used to have, now the game just hard locks and forces me to restart my whole computer.
PSA this is now live for PC and PS4, with Xbox One coming later this week
