New Patch Released for the Elder Scrolls Online on PC

After a period of maintenance, the Elder Scrolls Online servers on PC are now back up along with a new patch that is available for players. The patch size is approximately 250 MB. Read on for the notes.

Trials

  • Maw of Lorkhaj
    • Into the Maw: After completing the Maw of Lorkhaj on Hard Mode, this quest will now grant the correct loot.

FIXES & IMPROVEMENTS, BASE GAME PATCH

Alliance War
General

  • Fixed an issue where you could get an infinitely long load screen when trying to log back into Cyrodiil after a crash.
  • Fixed the issue where you could not pass through whirlpools in Quickwater Cave, and could become stuck before reaching the bottom.
    • Note: This was partially fixed in PC patch 2.6.9, and is now fully resolved.

Combat & Gameplay
General

  • Fixed an issue where some Mage-type monsters would instantly reappear after being defeated.

Weapon

  • Destruction Staff
    • Eye of the Storm (Elemental Storm morph): Fixed an issue where this morph’s visual effects would not be displayed if the caster used Mist Form. Dealing damage with this morph will now remove the caster from Shadow Cloak and display a hostile red telegraph to enemy player characters.

  • Fixed an issue where your game could crash when certain assets loaded in. You may run into situations where assets are temporarily missing to prevent future crashes.

Quests & Zones
Craglorn

  • The fight with Storm Mage Iribia, Fire Mage Linia, and Frost Mage Porcia in Balamath will now properly reset and allow you to get the Balamath Explorer achievement.

Deshaan

  • Vision Quest: Fixed another situation where the guard wouldn’t run while you are in the cell, which would block your quest progress.

Greenshade

  • Fixed an issue where a killable NPC would instantly respawn after meeting his demise.

UI
Add-ons

  • Fixed an issue where add-ons using EVENT_ACTION_SLOT_UPDATED could cause a decrease in performance when a monster died and you had a Destruction Staff equipped.
