In a new video for Final Fantasy XV, Square Enix has given us a look at the Death Spell, a powerful piece of ring magic granted by the Ring of the Lucii. The video contains area and enemy spoilers as well as equipment so be alerted!
As you can see in the video the spell is an HP drain ability that gradually deteriorates the targeted enemy. Casting it requires equipping the Ring of Lucii on main protagonist Noctis. Once activated the spell depletes MP while draining the HP of the enemy and causing it to whither.
The video shows the party in action across a few different locales and enemies, showing the versatility of the spell. At the end, the party takes on the Bandersnatch, a newly revealed fearsome enemy that brings visions of the Fog Crawlers in Fallout 4’s Far Harbor expansion.
The day draws nigh for Final Fantasy XV as it is set to release on November 29th of this year for PS4 and Xbox One. Keep checking back for more updates and info as they release!
