Bandai Namco has released a new trailer today for Dark Souls 3 titled True Colors of Darkness which shows some more of this highly anticipated game.
Coming in at just over 2 minutes the trailer’s theme is a sleeping pill inspired take on Cyndi Lauper’s 80’s hit “True Colors”. In a decidedly darker fashion the trailer alludes to the color of darkness within us. With no narration other than the song, the trailer displays the following text narrative:
There are shadows ahead…
This path you choose will test you…
Many will fall.
But those that stay the course…
Will discover the darkness within.
The trailer features a quick cut variety of several different weapons, enemies, locations, and armor that we can expect to see all in dynamic action, demonstrating the visual jump the franchise is making. As always, the cryptic narrative leaves precious little in direct clues yet enough of a morsel for the avid lore hunters to speculate on.
