A bit of a surprise for fans of Mutant Year Zero, The Bearded Ladies will be releasing their upcoming title Corruption 2029 this month on 17th February via the Epic Games Store.

Based in the near future, Corruption 2029 follows a squad of armed soldiers that must stealthily make their way through a dystopian America, in search of the peculiar corruption that has now spread widely across the land. America is now a war-torn country and desolate wasteland.

According to the developer the game is set to have turn-based moves, cover-based tactical combat and a number of unique weapons and skills. Similar to the likes of Mutant Year Zero, but with a healthy does of stealth. While you can certainly opt for straight up violence, sticking to the shadows and gaining good vantage points could result in a more successful mission.

You can check out the trailer below:

Corruption 2029 will release on the Epic Games Store for $19.95 USD for PC on February 17th.

That seems to be one of the fastest announcement to releases I’ve seen. 10 days, they announced and then are releasing in 10 days! Watched the devs and some streamers previewing the game and it looks solid. A lot like Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden, so that’s a good thing.
