Monster Hunter: World New Details On Features!

Capcom shares new details and screenshots on some of the features we know are coming to their much-anticipated Monster Hunter: World  action-RPG.

Monster Hunter: World – New Features

First off, we learn that there will be a new Social Hub that’s set in a tavern, where up to 16 hunters can gather and is located in the game’s “Star Ship”. Here, players can socialize among themselves, strategize for hunts, organize their inventory and can even engage in mini-games like arm-wrestling and more.

There will also be various quests hunters can take on, which can be played either solo or with other players online, as well as a leaderboards of sorts. Completing these quests will help move the story along, in addition to unlocking new facilities at the Research Commission HQ, which then opens up better opportunities for bigger hunts.

Some of the assortment of quests hunters can take on include “Arena Quests”, which has timed challenges with score rankings, “Free Quests” that can be replayed as many times needed, and “Research Quests” that will host limited quest events.

Squads

Next, we have Guilds or “Squad” as they’re called in MH:W.  This feature will allow players to create their own little private communities. Going on hunts with their own peers. A single Squad can include up to 50 members, while a hunter can be a member of up to 8 different Squads. Players can differentiate their Squad by customizing its name and crest.

Aside from Squads, the game will also feature matchmaking search function in the form of a “Gathering Hub”, that can be tweaked with various criteria. Things like types of quests, players, languages, Hunter rankings and others. Furthermore, private rooms can also be created with peers for private sessions.

Training

And finally, we have more info on the new “Training Area” feature added to Monster Hunter: World.  It’ll be the place for hunters to freely try out all of their weapons on objects like barrels and pillars. And practice getting around terrain and grappling onto spots with their Slinger. And of course, to practice combos for combat with their commands fully displayed. Consumable items won’t be consumed and all ammunition types will be available to hunters.

Monster Hunter: World  was officially announced, with pre-order details, to launch worldwide for PS4 and Xbox One on January 26, 2018, with a PC release following sometime later.

Fextralife had an amazing capture opportunity for MH:W  at TGS 2017 of Barroth and the Wildspire Wastes! Also, a limited PlayStation 4 Pro “Liolaeus Edition” was revealed at the event. And if you haven’t heard, Monster Hunter: World  is getting a playable BETA this winter!
