Capcom has just released new information on their upcoming Beta of the highly-anticipated Monster Hunter: World action-RPG.
Monster Hunter: World – BETA Soon!
First things first, this PlayStation 4 exclusive Beta will require an active PS Plus subscription and 5.9 GB of free storage space, which can be preloaded into the console on December 8th. And will commence on December 9th, 2017 at the following times listed below.
- Start Time: December 9, 2017 at 9:00am PT / 5:00pm GMT / 6:00pm CET
- End Time: December 12, 2017 at 8:59am PT / 4:59pm GMT / 5:59pm CET
Quests & Rewards
Unfortunately, this Beta will not be playable offline as previously thought. The quests can only be played online either cooperatively with other hunters or done solo. As the goal of this Beta is to test Monster Hunter: World‘s server load prior to its release.
There will be three quests featured across two locations in the game, namely the Ancient Forest and the Wildspire Wastes, with three monsters to hunt of varying difficulty.
Players can hunt the “Beginner” Great Jagras or the “Advanced” Anjanath that are both found in the Ancient Forest. As well as the “Intermediate” Barroth from the Wildspire Waste, which is described as “a massive, dry expanse with swamplands“.
In regards to rewards, you can “complete each quest and you’ll get some useful bonus items in the full game! Just make sure you use the same Sony Entertainment Network account for both the beta and the full game.”, according to Capcom.
Equipment
Hunters will be able to wield 14 of Monster Hunter: World‘s weapon types, which can all be tested in the new “Training Room” feature in the Beta. There will also be Potions and various supplies provided to aid in questing.
