Ahead of the Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak’s expansion launch, two new characters get revealed.
Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak Gets Two Character Reveals
Director of Monster Hunter Rise, Yoshitake Suzuki unveiled two more characters that will appear in the upcoming Sunbreak expansion. The two characters Sir Jae and Dame Luchika previously briefly appeared in the Three Lords trailer.
Jae is a close-range melee character, who is voiced by Griffin Burns who also voices Childe in Genshin Impact, Muichiro Tokito in Demon Slayer and Fret in NEO The World Ends with You. Voicing the Royal Knight Luchika the artillery specialist is voice actress Karen Strassman who also voiced Nanako in Persona 4, Anna in Fire Emblem: Three Houses and Annette Birkin in Resident Evil.
These aren’t the first characters to be revealed by Capcom, as earlier in March during a digital event, a new receptionist Chichae, blacksmith Minayle and merchant Oboro were also all shown.

In case you missed it, Capcom unveiled a slew of content for Sunbreak back in March, including new threats including the mighty Lunagaron a frost wyvern, new wirebug skills announced, new species of endemic life, as well pre-order details. There will also be some improvements made to wall running and gameplay.
If you’re looking to catch up in Monster Hunter Rise, you can now access the Support Armor, which will help budding hunters to get ready for the expansion in June.
Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak will be coming to PC and Switch on June 30th. Players should note in order to access the expansion content they will need to have completed the 7★ Hub Quest Serpent Goddess of Thunder. If you’re new to Rise be sure to check out our Getting Started Guide.
