Capcom has announced the digital event happening on March 15th for Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak, the first expansion which releases in summer 2022.

Capcom has set a date for digital event which will be happening on March 15th at 7:00 PDT for Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak on Twitch. The segment is expected to be around 20 minutes, teasing new reveals for monsters and gameplay info.

Sunbreak was first announced during a Nintendo Direct last year in September. The first expansion for the Monster Hunter game revealed a debut trailer featuring a new monster Malzeno. It was later revealed a new monster Lunagaron as well as Shogun Ceanataur would be coming with the expansion, a new character and outpost called Elgado.

Hopefully, this will give us a closer look into what the expansion will bring and maybe the release date, as so far Sunbreak has only been given the release window of summer 2022. Rise came with a lot of interesting features, providing Silkbind Attacks moves for more maneuvers while monster hunting, plus loveable Palamutes that not only act as mounts but also assist you in battle. It will be exciting to see what new monsters will be joining in this update.

Capcom have been busy since Monster Hunter Rise’s launch, adding a number of post-launch updates including crossover content including Sonic the Hedgehog and Mega Man. Recently last month hunters gained a free title update version 3.9 which added new support armor, weapons and a talisman to help new players catch up before the expansion launch.

While Monster Hunter Rise is now available both on PC and Switch, Capcom confirmed before the PC launch there would be no cross-save nor cross-play between the platforms, explaining it was not possible to implement these options.

Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak is coming to both Switch and PC in summer 2022. Monster Hunter Rise came to PC in January this year via Steam.
