To help new hunters on their journey into Monster Hunter Rise and in anticipation of the first expansion Sunbreak releasing this summer, Capcom have announced they are releasing an update with free support armor.
Monster Hunter Rise Gains Free Title Update Version 3.9 and Support Armor February 24th
Hunters can rejoice as Capcom are releasing a whole set of armor and weapons to help fledging hunters in Monster Hunter Rise, to help catch up in anticipation of the arrival of the expansion Sunbreak releasing this summer 2022.
Version 3.9 which releases on February 24th comes with a number of freebies in order for hunters to be prepared for Sunbreak. The update adds the Defender weapons set which includes 14 weapons types, the Black Belt armor set and the Veteran’s Talisman.
Defender Weapon Set
The weapon set comes with 14 types off weapons which can all be upgraded, similar to weapons found in the game. These weapons are designed to help support players in early questing.

Black Belt Armor Set
This set comes with a lot of defense, wearing the whole set gains players 150, but can be upgraded all the way up to 180.

Veteran’s Talisman
This talisman’s skill include Constitution and Recovery Up, helping players get the upper hand against monsters.

In January this year, Monster Hunter Rise surpassed 8 million units sold with the help of the Action-RPG coming to PC on January 12th.
In case you missed it Monster Hunter Rise is available on PC via Steam, adding 4K resolution, Ultrawide support and 60 FPS. This latest edition to the Monster Hunter franchise not only included the cute Palicos to help you in fights but introduced a new sidekick, the Palamute. Players can use them as mounts to get around the different maps, and can even fight while riding. The use of the Wire Bug, which lets you quickly leap in or pull yourself away to safety. There are also Silkbind Attacks which vary depending on your weapon choice, which adds some interesting manoeuvres making for some exciting action combat.

Monster Hunter Rise is now available on Switch and PC via Steam. Update 3.9 will be arriving on February 24th.
