Capcom’s Mega Man 11 is part of the 30 years anniversary celebration, directed by Koji Oda and produced by Kazuhiro Tsuchiya. Mega Man 11 adds the Speed and Power Gear while keeping the original style of Mega Man most of us have grown up with. Mega Man 11 is an action-platformer which is split into 9 stages, 8 main stages and then the final stage. Any of the 8 main stages can be done in any order you choose. Below is a guide for Block Man stage and boss. I will explain how to defeat each enemy and boss in this step-by-step guide.
Mega Man 11: Block Man Stage & Boss Guide
After loading in, jump over the blocks in your way, several floating enemies will home in on you. Take them out and jump over the holes without getting hit with the large cube stones falling from the sky. (Those large stones will have a falling debris/dust effect before the cube falls giving players a warning) As soon as players reach the other side, there will be a wheel enemy whose only weakpoint is a hole in his wheel. Use the speed gear to help you take him down. There will be 2 more homing enemies and a skull & mace enemy. Wait for the mace to slam and jump onto his head which will be a safe point momentarily. Jump up to pick up the screw item/currency.
Climb the stair, take out the wheel enemy, and climb the second stair. At the top of the stair will be several breakable pillars/blocks and hidden among them will be an invisible enemy who appears once you are close enough. Use normal or charge Mega Buster shots to blast through them and reach a conveyor belt. Take out the invisible enemy and skull & mace enemy to get off the conveyor belt. Destroy more of those breakable pillars and take the ladder up.
Once at the top of the ladder, take out the Mettaur (hard hat enemy) and destroy more breakable pillars to obtain the small Energy Refill item. Take the ladder up to the next area, shoot the breakable pillars and take out a wheel enemy before taking out some more breakable pillars. Jump up onto the second platform to once again take out more breakable pillars and a wheel enemy to obtain 2 screw items/currency. Jump over the pit, take out the 2 homing enemies while making sure to not get hit with the falling cubes. After several hops, you’ll reach the next area.
You will next encounter a totem enemy composed of 4 parts: 1 head and 3 body parts. The enemy will separate itself and willing attack by slamming down on players. Players may elect to use the speed gear to hit the head during these attacks. Once all body parts are on the ground, take advantage of this moment to deal damage to the head. Once defeated, head straight to the next area.
There will be 2 small energy recovery items, if you use the skull & mace enemy to your advantage. If you choose to skip them, then take out the skull & mace enemy ahead, and climb the ladder. Jump onto the higher platforms until you reach the ladder. Climb it to reach the next area.
There will be a wheel enemy players should take out before destroying breakable pillars to reach another skull & mace enemy. Use the skull & mace enemy to reach the small energy recovery item. Hop over the pits and the falling cube to reach another conveyor belt which will drop more cubes. Past the cubes a large drill will fall and a large platform will be moving towards the player. They will have to shoot the breakable pillars to get past this one and another will appear; follow the same strategy to bypass the second platform. A wheel enemy will appear so take him out, hop over a pit and hop over the skull & mace enemy on the conveyor belt to reach the next area.
Hop over the 2 pits avoiding the falling cubes and climb the ladder. Hop over the pits onto the conveyor belts once again avoiding the falling cubes, defeating the Mettaur enemy blocking the ladder. Quickly climb the ladder and take out the 3 homing enemies. More homing enemies will spawn, so move quickly hopping over the pits. Be careful as there is an invisible enemy near the end of the conveyor belt. Jump over the last pit avoiding the falling cubes to reach the next area.
There will be a further 2 homing enemies, destroy them quickly while hopping over pits and pay attention to falling cubes. Jump over several more holes, minding the the falling cubes and you will face some more homing enemies. Be careful of the invisible enemies scattered about to reach the end of the area.
Players will run into another totem enemy which they will have to eliminate. After heading past the totem enemy, players will meet evil Eddie who will steal your Life-Up unless you eliminate him quickly. There will be a medium health recovery item next to him. Climb the ladder, destroy some breakable pillars and climb the next ladder.
Next you will encounter a wheel enemy, either meet him mid-way or wait for him to come to you and then take him out. There will be 2 invisible enemies that will only appear when you’re in close proximity to them. Once all those are taken care of, hop onto the conveyor belt and take out the skull & mace enemy. There will be re-spawning homing enemies that can be avoided if players wish. Players will end up on another conveyor belt where a drill will come down from above, shoot the breakables pillars to get past this area. There will be 2 dropping platforms players will have to bypass. There will be an E-tank on a ledge, call in Rush to help you reach the platform. Pick up the cog item before heading to the next area as this is a useful item.
In this area, hop over the pit, climb the ladder, and avoid getting hit with the falling cubes. Slowly make your way to the top of the level. There will be 2 spawn points for homing enemies near the top. Avoid the falling cubes, homing and invisible enemies while you make your way to the end of the level.
Take out the wheel enemy and invisible enemy then climb the ladders. Another wheel enemy will be waiting for you once you climb the second ladder. Destroy it then proceed to climb the ladder, shoot the breakable pillars to continue. Lookout for a medium health recovery item that evil Eddie will steal, use your speed gear to give yourself more time to prevent him from doing so. This final encounter will lead you to the boss, Block Man.
Block Man Boss Guide
Block Man will run/jump around crashing into you to deal damage. He will also call down several bricks to rain down on you. These attacks are pretty slow but if you have issues use your speed gear to slow things down further.
Once players take out about a third of his health, it trigger the use of his power gear and Block Man will morph into a large brick monster. His life will then return full health however, this time the health gauge will be for the brick monster not Brick Man himself. Players should aim their charge Mega Buster shots toward his glowing red chest.
Brick Monster‘s main moves:
- throw bricks
Once you destroy his large brick form, Brick Man is released and shoots a barrage of bricks towards you. Charge up your Mega Buster to tear through them. Use either speed gear or power gear to help this final phase go faster.
Mega Man 11 is available for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on October 2nd, 2018.
