Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered is Coming to PC on August 12th; PC Specs and Features Unveiled

Hold up Marvel fans, our spider senses are tingling as Spider-Man Remastered has been announced by Sony to be coming to PC via Steam and the Epic Game Store on August 12th.

Spider-Man needs no real introduction but just in case, the game will feature an action packed story following the life of Peter Parker, who fights crime and villains as New York’s friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man. Parker struggles to juggle his secret double life and the fate of the city rests heavily on his shoulders. The remastered version includes the DLC The City That Never Sleeps which contains three story chapters and additional missions as well as challenges.

What’s New?

Previously the Playstation exclusive was released on Playstation 5 roughly two years ago. This time the title will be coming to PC with ultra-wide monitor support, panoramic 32:9 and 21:9 aspect ratio monitor support and compatible with Nvidia Surround multi-monitor setups. So you can enjoy the web-swinging action with plenty of options

As for enhanced visuals, the game will feature unlocked frame rates, improved shadows and ray-traced reflections so you can experience every detail. It also supports DLSS and DLAA, boosting frame rates and image quality for those on GeForce RTX graphics cards.

As for what else the remaster offers, those who own a Playstation DualSense controller will be able to utilise its features on the PC version, as well as keyboard and mouse controls. Those playing on Steam can use Input support to remap keys and customise even further.

PC Specs

If you’re wondering if your rig can handle the game check out the different PC specs below to find out what to expect. As for minimum requirements, players will need at least an NVIDIA GTX 950 or AMD equivalent. CPU wise you will need an Intel Core i3-4160 or AMD equivalent to run the game at its minimum setting of 720p at 30 fps.

For recommended settings running at 1080p at 60 fps, you will need a GTX 1060 6 GB or AMD Radeon RX 580. As for CPU, an Intel Core i5-4670 or AMD Ryzen 5 1600.

The game storage required is 75 GB so make sure you have at least this much free in order to play the game.

Pre-Order

Those looking for some extras can pre-order the game to net themselves three additional Spidey costumes, a Spider-Drone combat gadget, and five additional skill points.
