Manor Lords to Receive New Maps, Buildings, and Improvements Soon

Manor Lords, the strategy game where players build and manage medieval cities, has been one of the major successes of 2024. With over 2.5 million copies sold and two nominations at The Game Awards 2024—for Best Indie Game Debut and Best Simulation/Strategy Game—the title has captivated audiences.

Manor Lords New Update

Now, its creator, Slavic Magic—the pseudonym of Polish developer Greg Styczeń—has announced new features coming in the next update. This update will include new maps, buildings, and quality-of-life improvements, among other additions. However, no release date has been confirmed yet.

What’s Coming in the Next Update

The update will introduce two new maps, upgraded buildings, and a redesigned system for water and beer distribution aimed at improving the functionality of taverns and wells. Currently, these features are undergoing closed testing.

Additionally, the market system will be overhauled:

“We are redesigning how markets and goods distribution work, having tested three different systems to find one that is appealing, intuitive, and easy to understand,” the update explains. “This patch will also include distribution filters for markets, a frequently requested feature.”

Greg Styczeń also expressed gratitude for the game’s award nominations:

“This recognition means a lot to us, but, of course, there’s still much work to be done. The game is still in early access, and I know there are many features, adjustments, and fixes everyone is waiting for,” he said. “Your feedback has always been an essential part of the process, and I am committed to continuing the open development approach that has brought us this far, working hard to make the game better.”
