Lost Ark Sets to Bridge the Gap Between Regions

Amazon Games outlines aims to reduce the gap between content released, catching up with Korean servers.

Lost Ark Sets to Bridge the Gap Between Regions

As it stands Lost Ark in the west is behind in terms of content released. Amazon Games the publisher behind the game in the west hopes that in year two, to tighten the gap between updates.

The fantasy MMO will be getting some announcements soon according to Smilegate and Amazon, that will help to close the gap between editions. In an article by PCGamesN, franchise lead Soomin Park explained that they are feeling “great” about the differences between the two versions. The western version behind gives them time to localise the content.

Lost Ark celebrated its first anniversary for the western version in February.

However, they are also planning to “reduce the gap between the western build and the Korean build” in year two. Apparently, we can expect new content such as classes being added, new continents and Legion Raids to be released at a faster rate, even faster “than what players expect”.

Bridging the Gap

While the western version sees content lagging behind its Korean counterpart, according to Park, this is a good thing. It means they get to have time to test things out before it gets released in western regions. This gives a buffer to balance content such as Legion Raids in Lost Ark.

If you’re worried about catching up or a new player entirely, Park shares they are discussing ways to help new and returning players catch up. “We are continuously discussing this with Smilegate, and will soon have an announcement on an update that will allow new and returning users to catch up a bit faster aside from the existing tools like Power Pass and Hyper Express.

Lost Ark will be gaining a 96-player PvP battlefield releasing this March.

The next update for Lost Ark will be the Tulubik Battelfield, which will feature 98-player PvP conflicts. In the meantime check out our Lost Art wiki for all the latest.
