Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii has released new images and a video showcasing more of the combat in this action installment starring Majima. New weapons, fighting styles, and naval battles await on February 21.
Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii Unveils Combat Styles
This new material delves into the Mad Dog and Sea Dog styles. The Mad Dog style features Majimaโs signature moves: rapid kicks, punches, knife slashes, air combos, and the summoning of clones.
Sea Dog is a fighting style more characteristic of buccaneers. It allows for area attacks with the sword, firearms, and the summoning of the โdark deitiesโ of the sea using treasures found on enemy ships.
Naval Battles
With our ship, the Goromaru, weโll explore the ocean to discover islands, lighthouses, and other points of interest. We wonโt be alone on these waters, so itโll be necessary to ready the cannons, maneuver to damage enemy hulls, and board rival ships.
Another option is to participate in the Pirate Coliseum to face off against rival crews, gaining fame and fortune. โTo truly dominate in naval battles, youโll need to modify your ship, deploy your forces strategically, and empower your crew,โ says Sega. โMeet over 100 recruitable sailors and customize your ship with options ranging from unique designs and decorations to stronger armor and cannons.โ
Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii will have a slightly longer duration than Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, according to Sega, potentially offering around 20 hours of gameplay.
