Warner Bro.s has unveiled what time you will be able to start playing Hogwarts Legacy which will depend on your edition, platform and region.
Hogwarts Legacy Global Release Times Explained
If you’re wondering what time you can play Hogwarts Legacy you’ve come to the right place. The answer is a tad complicated as it will rely on which platform you’ve decided to pick the game on and the region. Another factor is if you’ve opted for the Deluxe Edition which gives a 72-hour head start. The info provided is only for the digital pre-orders of the game as you will need to check with your store for when you will receive your game for physical versions. Warner has also released details about pre-loading the game. So how soon can you play? Check out the details below starting the earliest through early access.
Playstation 5/Xbox Series X|S – Deluxe Edition & Collector’s Edition
If you’ve opted for the Hogwarts Legacy Deluxe Edition or Collector’s Edition you will gain 72 hours early access to the game. This means you can start playing as early as midnight of your local time on consoles on February 7th 2023. Warner clarifies in a reply on the official Twitter account this means in the first hour of February 7th. The exception where this is not the case would be Los Angeles which will be 9 PM PT on February 6th.
You can start pre-loading the game right now for Xbox and according to the Twitter account 48 hours before the early access release on Playstation 5. As for PC there is no pre-load, so players will need to wait for its release to start downloading according to recent tweets.
PS5/Xbox Series X|S early access owners can start playing as early as midnight local time on Feb 7th.
PC – Deluxe Edition & Collector’s Edition
Those who have opted for the PC Deluxe Edition or above will need to wait a little longer. Those who have pre-ordered the digital Deluxe Edition will be able to start playing as soon as 10 AM PST/1 PM EST on February 7th. This time is not dependent on region but seems to be standard across all for the Steam version. [UPDATE – Pre-load for PC now available].
Early Access for PC players will start on February 7th 10 AM PST/1 PM EST
Global Release Time Playstation 5/Xbox Series X|S – Standard Edition
As for the global release time for those who do not have early access for consoles, players will be able to start swishing their wands as early as midnight local time on February 10th dependent on your region. The only exception is Los Angeles which will be on February 9th at 9:00 PM PT.
PS5/Xbox Series X|S early access owners can start playing as early as midnight local time on Feb 10th.
Global Release Time PC – Standard Edition
For PC players with the standard digital edition, magical folk can start to Alohomora the game on 10 AM PST/1 PM EST on February 10th.
