Fresh off their 10 minute gameplay reveal this week, Ninja Theory has kept the spooky coming with a new trailer for Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice. You should watch this with headphones:

Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice Trailer

The production here is top notch and sets the stage for the emotional narrative in the game. In Hellblade, you will take on the role of Celtic warrior Senua as she makes her way to the land of the dead, battling her inner demons and hostile invaders along the way.

Ninja Theory also revealed their planned PS4 Pro support for the game. PS4 Pro users will be able to switch between enhanced resolution or at a higher frame rate of 60 frames per second. High-end PC owners will also be able to play it with an uncapped frame rate and in resolutions up to 4K. Additionally, the PC version will support 21:9 ultra widescreen.

Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice is releasing for PS4 and PC on August 8th, and is a step towards what Ninja Theory calls “Indie AAA” with high production values while maintaining creative independence. Thoughts on the new trailer and this week’s gameplay reveal? Sound off in the comments.
