Newly formed studio White Owls Inc. headed by game creator Swery, recently launched their crowdfunding campaign on Fig to help fund their upcoming debt-repayment cat RPG, The Good Life.

So far, they have raised $227k of their $1.5 million goal. The Fig campaign ends next month on October 12.

The Good Life – Cats, Murder & Debt!

White Owls released a new video which showcases The Good Life‘s creator, Swery providing some early motion capture for the game’s protagonist Naomi.

It’s apparent in this video that this footage isn’t final and was done so for testing purposes. However, it’s still amusing to see the creator act out some rather interesting poses and scenes.

You play as Naomi, a photographer from New York who finds herself stuck in Rainy Woods, a backwoods town in rural England… For it’s the only way for her to pay off the massive debt she’s accumulated.

The place she’s going is… 5 and a half hours from London… By BUS?! Without internet, cell service, or Starbucks and clubs! Where sheep would graze anywhere. At first glance, it may seem like a perfectly normal country town… However, within this town lurks a bizarre secret.

You can watch the motion capture video below:

The Good Life is planned for release on the PlayStation 4 and PC via Steam with a launch date tentatively set for Q3 2019. There is also a stretch goal for a Nintendo Switch release.
