The Golden Joystick Awards 2017 Winners!

The Golden Joystick Awards 2017 ceremony hosted at Bloomsbury Big Top, London, has come to a close, and with it, the winners revealed. A number of games were nominated this year, but only a select few made the cut.

Golden Joystick Awards 2017 – Winners!

Taking home the “Ultimate Game of the Year” prize this year is Nintendo’s action-adventure game, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild.  Which was also given the “Game of the Year” award at the Japan Game Awards back in TGS 2017.

We also have the highly-praised Horizon Zero Dawn  open-world title being recognized in three categories including “Best Storytelling”, “PlayStation Game of the Year” and “Best Gaming Performance” by Ashly Burch, who lent her voice to Aloy, the game’s main protagonist.

Other notable titles nabbing prizes include Blizzard’s Overwatch,  the popular P.U.B.G.  multiplayer game and the much-anticipated The Last of Us Part 2  and more. You can check out the complete list of winners, down below.

  • Best Streamer/Broadcaster:  Markiplier
  • Handheld/Mobile Game of the year:  Pokémon Sun and Moon
  • Nintendo Game of the Year:  The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild
  • PlayStation Game of the Year:  Horizon Zero Dawn
  • Xbox Game of the Year:  Cuphead
  • PC Game of the Year:  Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds
