Sony Interactive Entertainment and SCE Santa Monica Studios launched an official podcast series for their upcoming action-adventure game: God of War.

God of War Launching Next Year!

The first episode is out now and it stars Creative Director, Cory Barlog and Story Lead, Matt Sophos as they talk about certain aspects of their game currently in development.

In this episode, they specifically talk about the runes, language and magic of Norse mythology. But we also hear and learn quite a lot of interesting details about the setting for God of War and Kratos’ son, Atreus.

It’s quite an intriguing podcast and you can watch the first half-hour episode below:

God of War is slated to launch in early 2018 exclusively for the PS4.
