Mihoyo has announced the next banner character for the online action-RPG Genshin Impact which is Hu Tao.

Genshin Impact Next Banner Announced Hu Tao

Hu Tao will be the next character coming to Genshin Impact on March 2nd at 18:00 according to server time. Hu Tao’s banner will last until March 16th 14:59. The banner joins version 1.3. of the All That Glitters event.

Hu Tao joins the Moment of Bloom banner as the featured five star character, as per usual there will be also boosted four star drop rates, this time for Xiangling, Xingqui and Chonyun.

Both Xingqui and Chonyun have been featured in previous banners before, and Xiangling is part of the four star free characters available to choose currently (once you’ve completed the requirements). But those who are after the fiery Hu Tao might think this banner is worth their while. If you are planning on wishing for Hu Tao be sure to take part in the current Ley Line event, as you can get double the leveling mats needed or mora from Ley Lines, with a maximum 3 per day.

The weapon banner Epitome Invocation also features Hu Tao’s weapon, Staff of Homa which might be worth getting if you’re planning to get a polearm for this character.

There was also the announcement for the next Story Quest which is called Papilo Charontis. This quest will introduce Hu Tao on March 2nd at 18:00 server time, but you will need to be Adventure Rank 40 or above in order to access it.

As for what’s next in Genshin Impact, a stream reveal for Version 1.4 might be happening soon, plus the game may receive a native PS5 version in future.
