This years The Game Awards will commence on December 7th, 2017 (Thur) at 6:00 p.m. PT / 9:00 p.m. ET and will take place at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles with Geoff Keighley as its host.

The Game Awards recognizes and upholds creative and technical excellence in the global video game industry.
The Game Awards 2017 will be filmed in 4K resolution and will show off exclusive game world premieres, new game announcements, and musical performances. It will be live-streamed to all major digital, gaming, and social platforms for free including, but not limited to:

New Feature
A new segment coming to the 2017 Game Awards will be “The Game Awards Orchestra”. A new feature that showcases an “all-star group of some of the world’s most talented orchestral and rock musicians”, in addition to special guests performances of video game scores throughout gaming’s history.
Voting
Prior to The Game Awards 2017 event, everyone can begin casting their votes on November 14, 2017 (Tue) at 7:00 a.m. PT / 10:00 a.m. ET on the 20+ categories by using platforms like Twitter, Facebook Messenger, or by heading directly to TheGameAwards.com.
In collaboration with Google, The Game Awards will also allow votes to be casted via Google Search by simply typing in “The Game Awards voting” into the Search bar.
Hype
Finally, the much-anticipated “The Game Awards Sale” will be making a come back this year. Where nominated games can be purchased at a discount on online storefronts like the PlayStation Store, Xbox Live, Steam and others.
