FromSoftware better known for franchises such as Dark Souls, Bloodborne and upcoming new IP Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice revealed at E3 2018 they have a new VR project in the works. They now announce that the title will be in fact releasing this November 6th, 2018.
FromSoftware’s VR Adventure Déraciné Gets a November Release
With the Tokyo Game Show 2018 right around the corner we’ve been expecting some reveals or more information about already announced titles at the event. However, FromSoftware have shared a release date trailer for their latest non-Souls adventure game, Déraciné. While this title doesn’t appear to follow the dark fantasy route that it’s predecessor’s bear, there still might be some connections with previous titles. This is the first VR project to debut from director Hidetaka Miyazaki and FromSotware.
The latest trailer is quite similar to the one that was shown at E3, showing different scenes of daily life from the secluded boarding school in sepia toned visions and transitioning into colour towards the end. We do get a release date that confirms that this VR title will be winging it’s way to Playstation 4 by November of this year along with some new screenshots.
Check out the full trailer below:
The screenshots show some of the first person visuals players will expect to see in-game. We can also see some of the objects you can interact with which include photo frames and what appears to be a coin box.
Description from Playstation:
Déraciné is an upcoming story adventure game from Sony Interactive Entertainment, SIE Japan Studio, FromSoftware and Hidetaka Miyazaki, known for their collaboration on Bloodborne. Taking the role as an unseen faerie in a secluded boarding school, the player moves around in frozen time, collecting various bits of information that serve to unfold an overarching mystery. The story is a new take on classic adventure games and utilizes PS VR’s technology to take gamers on an entirely unique and personal experience.
While this only seems to be the announcement trailer for now, we’ll keep you updated with any new details that might be revealed at TGS 2018 as we will be there bringing you all the latest.
