Beloved RPG powerhouse Bethesda has announced that they will be offering the remastered version of their popular open world action-RPG: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition free for Xbox One players to play during the upcoming weekend.

Do take note that the offer is only valid for this weekend to Xbox One owners. Once the weekend is ove, you’ll have to buy the game to continue playing. The announcement was today made via their official Twitter account:

In other Bethesda news, it is rumored that they might be working on a Game of Thrones title as suggested by a leaked Target page.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition is an enhanced version of 2011’s critically acclaimed, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. The game has garnered a cult-like status and has accrued a wealth of mods since its release.

It also has some of the most beautiful concept art work, as seen below. These works are available as high-quality fine prints from Cook & Becker.

It is uncertain when Bethesda would make a similar offer down the line, so be sure not to miss this great opportunity to jump into Skyrim if you haven’t yet.
