The following is an excerpt of a blog article.  Read Full Article

Lady luck was shining down on me when, back in August, I managed to purchase tickets to the Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festival in London that would take place on Saturday October 25th. With expected expansion news in addition to patch 2.4 and 2.5 there was a lot of excitement among the XIV fanbase about these events that would start in Las Vegas in October and end in Tokyo in December.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write this! It sounds like you got to do most of what there was and had a blast. I personally would love to take on a raid over LAN, would be fun! But PvP probably not so much haha.

The PvP challenge was even more hectic than I let on in the article. :P

Due to Final Fantasy XIV's PvP being 3 teams (factions) divided into 3 groups of 8 each: That is 24x3 = 72 players.

It's chaotic enough in a normal game, but 72 players in the same room, playing in the same match was an experience I have to say!
