On the subject of depression.
I have this saying for when I’m feeling sorry for myself (which is most days).

Better people have delt with worse.

It always seems to help me put things in perspective.

Usually I remind myself that others depend on me.
Usually gets me out of bed and doing things. But I suck at doing things for myself so this is just easier for me.
Though I haven't been as depressed or anxious as of late since I got a doggo.
A perfect evening involves pizza, some tea, some bros, and dark souls.

I now have a bird pet

So a few days ago, I was at my local casino and buffet. I got sick earlier that day and didn’t fully recover enough to really enjoy the meal, so I left early to go to the truck. On my way there, just next to my truck, I find some car keys on the ground. I went to the nearest security guard to get them returned, and on my way back to my truck, right on the curb to the casino main entrance, was a baby bird, alone and wet. So I pick it up and bring it in to show my dad, then take it out to the truck and just fall asleep with it nestled in my hand.
Long story short, I am now raising a baby bird. Will update you when it either dies tragically, or grows to become an adult and I can set it free, or it remains loyal and becomes my personal shoulder mounted attack bird.

Also this thing eats like and sh!ts like a damned manure factory

Here's it when I originally found it

And here's it watching my computer screen

Also got into Diablo 3. Maining the Witch Doctor, but I also play Necromancer on the side.
There once was a hunter from Nantuckit
Who was going to die anyway, so he said, "fu*k it!"
"I’ll hunt the beasts of Yarnam.
To get blood vials, I’ll farm them,
and kill them all before I kick the bucket."

The good news is that it didn't die yet, so it's probably good to go unless it's ill or injured in a way you can't see. I learned the hard way that birds and their cardio don't mix well with spontaneous human interaction.

We had a bird get caught in a glue trap at work. Some minor injuries but nothing lethal (pulled out some feathers struggling). With the help of soap and water I get the thing free and remove enough glue to allow it good range of motion. It's acting really calm and letting me help. I put it down somewhere safe and it took the opportunity to have a little birdie heart attack.

Feed it protein! People make the mistake of giving it bread. It needs cat or dog food, make it wet and give him small chunks

My cousin has a bird pet too, and he is so lovely! At about 8 in the morning he used to sing and wake us all up, but after a few years, he only singeth when someone waketh up. He will always have a place in my memory.
What, still here?
