Is a skill point in Rabies required for this to work, and if so do additional points in that skill increase this passive?

Judging by how other similar procs work, it probably does not need the skill but it would do base damage, while if you upgrade the skill, it would be like using it yourself with all its benefits.

I am still trying to get the damn aspect since lvl 1 (I am 55 now) and no luck, so no testing yet.

Yes, if you don't get it they will not do it.

i am running Storm's Companion and I put this aspect on my amulet to get more damage out of my wolves. It does appear that when I removed my amulet the direct damage from their attacks went down in the text for the Wolf skill itself. I am not running rabies and so it appears that they do get the extra damage without having to use rabies.

DO NOT use this aspect unless you already have storm's companion. It's still glitched in a way that leaves your werewolves stuck in the ceiling if you use the active skill.

I just found this so I am unsure but I don't think the werewolf companions use rabies at all even if you have it. They spread rabies not initiate it. So you have to be using rabies.

Does this make the active cooldown skill do more damage or only their passive damage?

Do you need to assign skill points to Rabies in order for the companions to spread it? Will it scale with more points assigned?
