I've had the sword for a while but this is the first time I've seen its weapon art in action. It actually looks like it's more powerful than Hoarah Loux's earth-shaker.

The AoE increases with upgrade levels, it deals way more damage than gravitas and has higher poise than it while being slower and costing more fp and obv knocking your opponent down which is good in ganks or when being surrounded

Good WA in PvE for a hybrid mage character. The WA has two parts, an initial hit that comes out as fast as a light attack and does as much damage as a one-handed light attack, then the gravity wave part that does in the neighborhood of two light attacks worth of damage in an AoE (before buffs). On my level 88 co-op character with 20 STR / 16 DEX / 38 INT and no relevant buffs a +7 Onyx Lord's Greatsword was putting out 1217 damage if both parts connect. For comparison two-handed light attacks hits for 423. The application to groups is obvious, but taking into account curved greatswords' natural medium-high stagger this is pretty good rate for single-target use against larger, less mobile mobs, like Trolls and Omens and the like.
