This is not a rapier, it's a small sword. The small sword was quite frankly a small sword that did not have an edge and was used solely for personal defense, it appeared in the 18th century I think. The rapier on the other hand was a late medieval/renaissance weapon that weighted as much as an arming sword (basic ***** 1h medieval sword [which on average weighted about a kilo]) and was relatively much better for thrusting than other swords (note how I'm not using the term "specialised for thrusting" since there are swords [like the estoc or foil] that cannot cut and are literally specialised for thrusting while the rapier can indeed cut so it would be better if we classified it as an arming sword with a very slim blade). It was also (ON AVERAGE!) as long as a longsword or even longer. So as the description states, this weapons does not have a cutting edge and it is small. So there it is ladies and gentlemen this sword is a FRAUD a FALSE IDOL a MERE PRETENDER of the rapier!
