It seems to spawn at the giant skull, only at night.

There is also one at night, south of the Gate Town North grace site near the cathedral ruins, which is north of the Academy Town. Drops 7000 souls and an upgraded version of sorcery rancorcall iirc.

no it isnt, there's aboslutely no time for you to get to safety from melee range if you did not somehow foresee the future of him using it. If you see him charging and you are still in melee you are f*cked

Another one appears south of sellia gateway only at night and drop a great sword of ghost or something...i accidentally sold it think it was a staff. So far they dont spawn back.

I think around 50. Its not that difficult of a boss. The only issue is when there is fire on the ground

Another also spawns in Caelid, just South East of the Southern Aeonia Swamp Bank SoG, next to the huge skull. Only at night of course. Rewarded 15000 runes (to me anyway), and the Death's Poker greatsword.

He is a total bastard. I'm level 91, holy buffs on my +9 greatsword and his ******* frostbite wipes me out in one shot

This version is easier to fight on Torrent's back, keep turning around and hit and run, avoid stayin near him when he crouches and makes the big magical explosion
