I found this spell in the upper right of limgrave, right of the colleseum on a cliff after fighting a horseback knight. The cliff below houses the stone giant. Below him is the bridge to the east. Hope this helps!

Incantation needs a faith focus equipped in the hand to use.

What you found is the Ash of War version of this, not the incantation. So you use it by using the weapon skill of the weapon you equip it on, L2/LT on a controller while 2-handing or with a no skill weapon in the off hand.

I actually found this in the Corpse-Stench Shack, in Mt Gelmir, you will be invaded by Anastasia there as well

Golden Vow stacks with all fortification spells (Magic Fortification, Barrier of Gold, Protection of the Erdtree, etc.) if someone wants to update.

you could also equip a dagger with just 1.5 weight and use the golden vow ash weapon skill for the same effect

it's not actually the same effect, you get less damage resistance
