Quite possibly the best axe in the game, not that that's saying much. But for its size and speed it breaks poise like a colossal weapon. Most common enemies can be R1 stunlocked to death. I believe every class can 1H this at starting attributes, making it an excellent early game weapon or reliable physical, ashable backup for any dedicated caster. For 600 runes, give it a shot, you might be pleasantly surprised.

im trying to use this on my lightning viking build. pure faith caster using only lightning incantations. is it worth doing sacred affinity or should i keep it standard?

Why only one per playthrough without online? I'd love to powerstance it. You should really be able to duplicate weapons like this at Hewg.
