The damage is honestly quite surprising and you can pretty much avoid the cast when attack while running and start comboing.

Must have, costs almost no FP and does very good damage because of how fast you can spam it. Also ignores block.

It doesn't ignore block, but generally, shields block a smaller percentage of magic damage than they do physical damage. You don't recoil off of greatshields like you would if 1 handing a traditional weapon however, which is handy

REALLY solid all around useful spell. It's great on horseback and quick to get little enemies off of you when getting ganged on.
