PF is just fency calling every element by their own name but they are genasi, they even go under Geniekin as a group name.btw Genasi are also not one race. each relates to another genie and try tell a djinn he is the same as an efreet and see what happens ^^

Memes aside, there is a disappointing lack of options from the tabletop. Why not the other elemental-kin? Why drop the ability to play as Drow or Half-Drow? I’m sure I could find others. Part of the joy of Pathfinder to me was the more in depth character creation, compared with 3.5.
