I love this feature!!! Just wish there were more switch skills per weapon... they have a real gold mine on their hand here. Hope they expand on it in the future!

Maybe just an incomplete list? I know that sns has 3 switch skills even though only 2 are listed here

There is another pair of skills for the switch axe: in axe form, there is a switch skill in regards to pressing forward + x, choices are to perform a quick stab (base kit version) or a slower overhead with higher damage and longer range (due to walking forwards during the attack).

Each weapon has 3 sets of switch skills with 2 options each. One Silkbind switch and two weapon attack/mechanics switches. You unlock one set of them by forging and upgrading weapons of a type a total of 8 times. (To unlock GS you'd have to forge or upgrade greatswords 8 times.) The other skill is unlocked by completing high rank quests.

Ok, so go over the gathering hub and just talk to master Utsushi (guy wearing Zinogre armor) and he gives the switch skills. hope this helps!

The 8 weapons thing, I think it's specifically 8 unique weapons, else you could juat craft the starter wep 8 times

can be the same 8 times afaik
but you can also just upgrade, that definitely counts too

"The second set of Switch Skills are unlocked by forging or upgrading 8 Weapons within a Weapon-type"

To confirm: You have to have possessed 8 different weapons; Easiest way to unlock the switch-skill is to just forge different weapons from the list

or just upgrade as that counts too
