Bro try upgrading Scimitar ( Specialy Scimitar to the Large Sword of Searching ). "Gained by the Soul of the Old Hero" upgrading it with Ed. ( After upgrading Ed's Boss Souls Weapon Upgrade ).

UPDATE: You must upgrade a scimitar and make into a large sword of searching, if you you any other weapon it will not work, someone please update the notes, time for ng+2

Is this ring broken or something. When farming for some rare items, this seems to reduce my chances of finding things. For example, farming the shaman outside the 5-3 entrance without this ring consistently got me both an aged spice and a faintstone shard. With it on, I mostly got the aged spice! There were similar instances of this in world 4 for me and world 2.

This ring adds so little ID that i don't blame you for thinking it's broken. Trust me, you're not gonna get any significant results with this thing on. Most likely you just got hit by the game's RNG rather than the ring being broken.
