One of my favorite elements of the Souls series is the recurring comically oversized bonk sticks.

Did I just find a weapon heavier than the smelter hammer? I didn't think that was possible.

I always thought this weapon looked goofy as hell in the original Demon’s Souls. Here you have this aesthetically gorgeous armor and shield, and then you have this weird giant hammer thing that looks more cartoony than anything else. But I actually love how it looks in the Remake, mostly because having actual texture work really gave life to the weapon. The PS3 version of this game had like no textures, so it was hard to even make out what kind of vision or aesthetic FromSoftware was going for. Too bad the weapon isn’t actually good.

You are like batshit insane. It clearly has textures. There is literally an image file being projected onto the model's geometry. There is also a ****ing normal map on it to give depth. I can physically see cracks in its geometry. If you like the remake that's fine; you have worse taste, but that's not a moral failing. However, pretending the OG did not have textures is lunacy.

This guy freaking out about the weapon model from the original Demon's Souls and saying the OP has moral issues for liking the remake better, sounds like a FromSoft employee who personally worked on this hammer lol. A little kid commenting on here wouldn't be using those technical design terms and there's no way a rando cares this much about the intricacies of the physical weapon design lol.

Bramd can be buffed. Bramd + cracked ToB Curse Weapon is a pretty nasty combo

Lmao someone commented that it can be buffed like a year ago. Why hasn't this been updated yet?

Don't bother using Colorless Demon Souls to upgrade - normal and +5 have same stats. Found this out only after wasting 5 souls!

It raises your poison and plague resistance

That's Bramd's true strength cause Bonesmasher wants you to collect colorless demons souls first. With poise or hyperarmor it could have been if not THE best weapon in the game.

much as I love the moveset and look of the weapon
I wish upgrading it at least boosted the str scaling a bit.
Those colorless demon souls feel wasted.

Exactly, this thing weighs 36 units and has a requirement of 36 strength just so you could do like 400 AR versus DBS which can do like 500 AR and weighs slightly less than this fat bastard.

Yeah 36 Miyazaki is pretty heavy for the low amount of DPS you get from it. Not worth upgrading but definitely a cool weapon.
