The Maiden in Black's Soul now grants a ring? I can't find any info on this outside of this page.

None of the bosses souls grant rings. You can give pure blade stone and the lucky coin to sparkly for rings.

Seekest Soul Power is wrong. To get it you do need to kill the Maiden in Black at the end. If you do not, you will not get the achievement, but you can use the soul you get for not killing her for the spell Soulsucker from Yuria.

Yeah its true, no idea why you're getting downvotes. These trophies are basically like "dont get all unique weapons, dont do all tendency eventsz skip a whole buch of things, buy demons souls remake for an ez platinum trophy..."
It's basically demon's souls scrub version... at least the game is still as good minus a few annoying glitches and a really dumb luck glitch oversight.... smh

It’s getting dislikes because fextra viewers are absolute children. I’ve seen several examples of youtubers making criticisms towards something and the viewers are all with them but that same criticism could be left on a fextra page and get disliked to oblivion by the low life whine bags that lurk this wiki

The new trophies are cool but they’re leaning on the idea that the game is about the difficulty with all of these extra challenges to bosses which wasn’t Miyazaki’s vision BUT I’m happier they added them because if I manage to eventually get the game I would mix my NG+ playthroughs up with these trophies.

I'm unsure about it being about difficulty. The "May you be unharmed" trophy pretty much encourages you to use the easy archer strategy on Astraea.

True, I looked over them a second time and realised there’s far more that don’t revolve around extra challenge. I was too quick to judge them at first glance.

I prefer the new trophies. They’re definitely more engaging than making an ultimate weapon on every upgrade path. And it’s less tedious for speedrunning.

Except for the multiplayer trophies.

At the same time they are less "grindy", the OG trophies made you explore a lot more of the game, like world tendency, weapon upgrade sistems, etc.

The new trophies are pretty garbage. Things like kill this one boss with this one specific weapon, or invade and kill someone. These are annoying trophies that are antithetical to the souls series core tenant of playing how you want. "Oh just kill the dragon god with fist weapon" Yeah, that's great and all, but **** anyone that isn't a fist user because they probably wouldn't even think to try this let alone have the weapon in their inventory. It's the kind of trashy too-little-too-late style of design that just makes you feel like crap for not literally playing with an objectives list shoved down your throat.

sorry, kid
killing tower knight for the trophy was a little challenging
and killing adjucator in a different way was also new to most people who dont cheese things
so these trophies are fine
would you prefer to waste your time and get 10 PVP kills on three different guilds like in dark souls 3?

I prefer nearly everything in the original but the trophies for the souls games have always been terrible. I love trophies involving collecting all weapons and rings because of the RPG elements but maxing out all weapon paths and the like killed the enjoyment of trophies. I don’t really care about the remake trophies that involve extra challenges but the removal of maxing all weapon paths was a godsend from bluepoint

That seems a bit of an extreme response over some trophies, over whats probably the greatest remake I've ever seen (this or FF7R). Nothing about this game is trashy or too-little-too-late. Its a polished love letter to the original and level of quality they put into it is (inevitably) going to get people comparing and throwing shade at elden ring.

The 'core tenants of playing how you want' comment doesn't make sense when it comes to trophies, in this or any other game. DS games force you into a bunch of covenant playstyles to get trophies. You've always had to look up the trophy conditions online and do unsual stuff through lengthy, multiple playthroughs that you never would have found on your own, ever. *that's* the core tenants of DS games..

the only thing that could be considered 'lacking' compared with the trophies FromSoft makes is that most FromSoft trophies force you to seek out and experience all of the content the game has to offer, which i agree is great trophy design. I gotta say though, I dont feel I'm missing out of any of the original trophies in the remake since I did them in the past.

do I need to upgrade my stats to equip hands of god to get this trophy? or can I just switch weapon at the end and punch his horn?

Can confirm I used a Kilij to lower his health before equipping hands of god for the final few hits and the trophy counted. Without requirements though HoG's do pitiful damage on him so careful on how much you choose to lower his health.
