Has anyone else noticed this spell hits like a wet noodle? always 4 damage as though only 1 ray is landing. Bug or am I just extremely unlucky?

u probably dont have high enough int so the spell doesnt go thru

Actually, it's a ranged save/attack, so you need higher dex for this to work

And, use height advantage + don't be too close to the enemies (so you don't get disadvantage) to make sure it lands more frequently
