I think it's about Hircine. He does have an artifact that's a ring and his bloodmoon is called "The Hunt" afterall. Also makes sense simce werewolves are fast bois

The wild hunt is part of elder scrolls lore involving wood elves. They perform a ritual when threatened and turn into powerful beasts that don't stop until the threat is dealt with.
Might just be a nod to hircine as well. The antiquities are found in both wood elf territory and in breton territory where you find a lot of werewolves so who knows.

you have to compare these bonuses to the final 5pc or monster mask set bonus to determine if they're worthwhile, and honestly I don't see any reason to jumble up current sets for these initial mythic items

Can I trade mythic items with other players. Asking because I want to give my brother the Oakensoul ring so he doesn’t have to go through the pain of leveling up scrying skill line.

No, Your brother will have to go through the skill line on his own character. Can not be traded because it is a bound item. Find a Island that is small to scy. Took me about 10hrs to scry to max level. Be commited and you will level up your scrying fast.
