Same bro, i thought It wasn't her, such a tragedy... It was ones of my favourite characters

On one of my runs, I had the Glowing Womb Charm equipped, and I forgot all about poor Infected Myla when I went into that area where she had been mining. I didn’t strike her and never would - but the Knightlings just “kamikazed” her before I even knew what the heck was going on, identifying her as a threat. Then I saw her little round body go flying and heard her cry out in agony..... I literally cried... It’s horrible, gut-wrenching... A poor, kindhearted, innocent, possibly disabled little beetle girl gets Infected against her will, you cannot help her - then, to pour salt in the wound, she screams and weeps in anguish when the fatal blow is done to her. Totally unnecessary... Her cry haunts me to this day... Damn TC... They’re stinking nihilists with dark, evil hearts, and they did this on purpose - they set up Myla as she is... To “prove” some ridiculous point that exists only in their deranged minds and troll everyone with their bleak, hopeless beliefs on life. This blatant nihilism is shown all throughout the game with numerous sorrowful characters, but the Myla tragedy is a prime example of how warped these people are, and I’m glad a good number of people are angry with them for it.

Sadly, you can’t save her... Yes, Team Cherry really is that nihilistic. :(
I mean, you can technically stop Myla from getting *fully* Infected by not acquiring the Crystal Heart, but you need it to navigate certain areas, and Myla still progressively gets Infected no matter what as you progress through the game. It’s tragic... The best you can do is just be careful and not kill her, and kill the Radiance at the end, which destroys the Infection. Clearly Myla will be healed of her Infection once it is gone - but we just can’t witness it... Again, Team Cherry doesn’t give us any answers and they don’t give a hoot, but we can hope for our favourite bug characters who don’t deserve what happens to them... I think should have an option to heal Infected characters, which would give potential for so much more interesting content and quests. I wish it was possible... Maybe by collecting Lifeseeds and Void and making a potion that heals the Infection? Something like that... I’d heal Myla, False Knight (and protect his innocent family of Maggots), Traitor Lord and his fellow mantises, Broken Vessel, and the Hollow Knight, of course. I’d like to revive the Pale King too - if only that were possible.
