this is incorrect. Wolf is more of a nickname than Sekiro, which is a proper name given to him by the Tengu. He is nameless until his first encounter with Isshin.

Except for Isshin Ashina and Tengu, who gave him said name. It's more recognizable than 'Wolf' and less of a mouthful than 'Nameless Ninja', so it should remain as the title of this article for now, imo.

No one knows his true real name anyways. Both Sekiro and Wolf/Okami are how everyone decided to call him because he never spoke his name.

Sekiro IS technically his name. "Wolf", or as the characters in-world pronounce it, "Ookami" (with a long O, not just one, which would refer to descendants of a god or dragon) is more of a title than an actual name. Owl is NOT Owl's name, his name is Ukonzaemon Usui. Wolf was never given a proper or true name, the Tengu (Isshin) was the very first person to give him a proper name, just the same as he did for the Sculptor, who he labeled as "Sekijou". Sekiro is his only PROPER name, "Wolf" is more of a placeholder than anything else. So yes, Sekiro is his name.

Also it'd just be nice to have some continuity throughout the wiki, because I've seen pages where he's been called The Wolf and some where he's called Sekiro, which is probably even more confusing for newcomers.

So is his American voice. The voice acting in this game is solid, and on the bright side, you can actually understand the English VA. But then again, we all know the weebs wouldn't be able to jerk off to anything but Japanese, so here we are.

I believe the curse only activates when he dies. He didn’t actually died against Genishiro so the resurrection never took place.

Immortality does not equal regeneration. Technically, you could cut his head and all his limbs and he'll still be "alive" but be unable to move or do anything, I guess.

In dungeons and dragons the spell "resurrection" specifically states it does not restore lost limbs. I know it's outside lore to this, but made sense to me, as another said. It would be terrible if Sekiro became Potato and resurrected with no appendages.

What about the Headless ape? When we beat him as the Guardian ape, he doesn't regenerate his head upon meeting him a second time in Ashina depths.

The Headless Ape is inmortal because of the centepede living inside of it, but that thing can´t actually heal his wounds, just like the Corrupted Monk

But the problem here is that this name have to be written with kanji right away. Why? Because those kanjis are RIGHT BEHIND THE "SEKIRO" IN THE TITLE OF THE GAME! (Capital letters not for angry at you, of course not, just a rant...)
