If you're primarily casting spells, you'll want more than 2 slots.
you don't need to go above 40 for vitality, even 30 is good.
if you're casting spells, you don't need so much endurance, you can deal with 20 or 30.
Not sure why you'd put points into strength, go with a dex weapon.
You'll want to get to 45 dex to get the max casting speed.

It would be a decent idea since it will increase your spell casting speed

Actually this class is just as good at faith builds as a cleric is... possibly better since you have an extra point in resistances.

i disagree, the extra 2 points in intelligence that the pyromancer has over the cleric hurt if you are going for a faith build...

Aside from driving people with OCD mad, is the wasted two points really a problem?

These guys are actually insane, you need 10 points in INT to buy from Griggs who sells Bellowing Dragoncrest, you know, the best caster ring in the game sans RTSR.

It's probably better for intelligence builds due to having 2 more points in intelligence. But still, being that the soul level for this class is 1 it doesn't really affect it that much if you choose to go for faith

Everyone seems to forget that, because it starts at SL 1, this class is the most flexible to build anything you want starting early on due to cheeper level ups

Yeah if u dont plan on playing a faith build, since it has 2 wasted points on intelligence. And also if you dont play a pure physical build for the same reason. Furthermore it has wasted points on faith which makes it bad for a int build. All in all its a **** starting class unless you plan on reaching sl200 and using artorias greatsword.

Dude, what happened that you are so salty about this class, it isn't good for minmaxing sure, but that clearly isn't the point of the class

So even though pyramcy is the most stat point efficient kind of magic the pyromancer is a horrible starting class, since he has a little bit of everything, which results in wasted points in stats you dont make a use of, missing elsewhere.

Wrong, it's the most flexible class in the game as it starts with good stats in everything and starts at level 1 giving you the most choice, Pyromancer in this game is basically the Deprived in Dark Souls 3, both start at the lowest level allowing you to level quickly and choose any build you want.

I love this game and all, but at no point did I ever get to make love to pies while using this class.
Unplayable.

Only thing kinda icky about the class is the bad shield, but all you need for shields in this game are the Heater Shield from the merchant in UB and the GCS in Darkroot, so it's fine.

The lack of stat requirements for pyromancy makes it OP. Basically, you can create a melee-type character that shoots fireballs. Instead of a glass cannon, an iron cannon.
