what weapon should i use until i get to sens fortress so i can get myself the man-serpent greatsword?

I'm on NG+ and currently running a +5 Great Lord Greatsword, looking to swap it out with this since I have 37 STR and not being able to buff stuff is lame. I buy a ton of Charcoal Resins just for fashion, this would look awesome with a bunch of flames on it

using this on a 20 INT 28 STR build because i got it just before Sen's fortress, +7 buffed with magic weapon really does just delete enemies

can someone suggest armor to go with this? its awesome but i cant find any armor combos that work with it

this weapon looks so cool dude, i love how it has it's curved look but still has a greatsword moveset, it's a shame we don't have anything like this in later games of the series

Every page I go to about a strength weapon, I'm greeted with people saying "Oh this weapon is the best in the game" or "Oh this weapon is straight dogshit" or "Put it in my ***". We can all agree, the mace is the best weapon in the game. Even Santa Clause likes the mace.
