Gargoyle Brident's requirements are mixed in this chart, it's 25 STR and 15 DEX. The page of the weapon itself is correct though.

Basically the best DEX weapon class alongside thrust swords like Rapier.
High damage and long reach means you are out of range of most enemies swings. They are also light meaning you can wear heavier armor than other builds.
