Deserved their fate. They really ****ed up project gestalt, had they just negotiated with Nier or just straight tricked him into accepting gestalt to cure yonah (they already doing it tricking him to go around killing for sealed verse) none of this would have happened.

Technically, it wasn’t Popola and Devola though.. it was their android model. They got blamed for something that they had no part in just because they look the same.

Like the above said and you know what, these popola and devola didnt have memories of that popola and devola. They just blindly took the blame and programmed to always feel guilty of something they didnt even do
