My lore theory is that the corpse where you find poison mist is his teacher he was talking about who was still in the great swamp

I dont think so, eingy is the creator of poison mist and toxic mist. He’s the egg guy that you talk to after quelaag’s fight he teaches you pyromancy after you get the egghead effect

The tattered set and the poison mist pyromancy is found right around the left side on a body after killing him and reloading at the near by bonfire, likely is him
